Ryan Newman is in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The update came from NASCAR just after 10 p.m. ET Monday.
This update was met with relief Monday night as the NASCAR community and racing fans all over the world awaited word on Newman's condition following a scary crash at the conclusion of the Daytona 500. Newman was racing for the win in a frenzied sprint to the checkered flag against Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller both took to Twitter expressing concern and relief for Newman.
